Hi, I’m James — a filmmaker, FPV drone pilot, skier, and storyteller passionate about capturing the world from bold new angles.
Over the years, I’ve traveled extensively, from the snowy peaks of the Alps to vibrant cityscapes and beyond, chasing light and moments that tell unforgettable stories. Whether flying through the bustling streets of Rome or capturing the atmosphere of the Bec De Rosses in Vebier, my goal is always the same: to create cinematic content that breathes life and energy into every frame.
I’m proud to collaborate and be mentored by my good freind Chris Knight who has worked on blockbuster films like Deadpool 3 and Mission Impossible. Working alongside such talented creatives pushes me to constantly innovate and refine my craft.
Gear & Tech
I work with a diverse range of drones, selecting the perfect setup depending on the mood and story we want to tell. From high-end cinematic drones to custom-built mountain cruisers and nimble FPV racers, I have the right tool for every shot. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing, ensuring every frame is polished with precision. High-quality footage isn’t just about having the best camera — it’s about mastering settings, proper import/export workflows, and tailoring content for each platform. To avoid any surprises, I keep my gear updated and always have backup drones ready on shoot days.
Safety & Reliability
Safety is paramount, especially when filming talent. Before every project, I conduct a thorough risk assessment and a preflight briefing with everyone involved. I’m transparent about insurance and legal coverage, giving clients peace of mind. On one shoot near an airport, changing flight restrictions meant switching drones and even shifting the video style on the fly. Quick communication with the client and flexible editing ensured the final video still captured the right emotion and met their expectations.
Personal Touch & Travel Stories
One of my favorite shoots was in Nicaragua, capturing a small brand’s horses, surfers, and motorbikes. Filming the flow between horse and rider felt almost like digital choreography — a true bucket-list moment. Filming is my form of digital art, and my attention to detail comes from an autistic perfectionism that drives me to get every shot just right.
